The design of the building is inspired by the surrounding environment. The rise and fall of the waves of the sea is transmuted to take the form of the fluid elevation of the building façade.
The design is sensitive towards the need of the guests and visitors. Each residential floor of the building is endowed with decks that emanate from sides and spreads out to form wider decks at the corners. The parapet of these decks are designed with flowing elevation that resonates through all sides of the building. The decks or balconies give guests the opportunity to admire the views surrounding the site and at the same time provide shade from the sun and enhance passive cooling.
The amorphous layering of planes at various levels renders the building with a fluid architectural form that makes it stand out among existing buildings at the Lusail Waterfront. This concept is carried throughout the design and is envisaged to be imbibed in the interior design with free-flowing walls and ceilings and fixed furniture.
The wide decks at the corners are tied to the large three and two bedrooms behind them. The curved corners are also designed such that the large decks would be double height so as to enunciate the feeling of grandiose to the guests. This is further enhanced with the use of timber ceiling over the decks among the pristine white wall surfaces thereby creating the contrast that is both restrained and relaxed visually.
The hotel apartment is designed to provide an unparallel experience to the guests from both outside and inside. The fluid architecture of the building makes it stand out and gives it the order of a landmark building that invites people to visit and experience it. The lavish spaces, activities and architecture of building enhances people’s experience of enjoying the vista and moments spent in its premises.
