This retreat home is designed around the large living room, that transforms into a prayer room with reorientation of the furniture to accommodate about 100 people. The triple height atrium at the South West Corner with large strip windows provides the space and ambiance for social and cultural family events. The family space of kitchen cum dining is nestled away overlooking the swimming pool and outdoor deck. The guest bedroom is the other room facing the east garden.
The building is designed to have large windows to the North facing the swimming pool, inviting light throughout the day and creating a micro climate of its own. The South and West sides have scant windows with openings that define the external elevation viewed from the road and at the same time providing security and thermal protection.
The stepped form of the building with large blank facades and scattered apertures provide a balanced and defined elevation to the residence creating its own identity among adjacent buildings.
