There are two meanings to the name of this website ‘do katha’ in colloquial languages in India, due to the dual meaning of the word ‘katha’.
- Katha is a quantitive unit for land equivalent to about 720 square feet. This is commonly used in eastern India.
- Katha also means tales or stories in Sanskrit.
And the word ‘do’ pronounced as ‘doh’ in Hindi means two (2). There are always two sides to a story and two katha is the least everyone wants as a plot of land to build a home.
Thus ‘do katha’ represents the content of this website which contains the tangible content on Architecture and the intangible content on Architectural experience, art, travels, opinions of social, political, and economic issues.
